Gutter Tactics is a perfect name for this album. Every track is swarming with fuzzy tones and dirty drones that swell and pulsate then release at the perfect moment just before over saturation. All this takes place over the top of gritty drums painted with various delays, choruses, and re-verb. The result sounds very much how the cover of the record looks. I have to wonder if the artist created it while listening to the album. The vocals are subtle, like a post script or an after thought on most of the tracks, and they’re insightful and interesting none the less. Dalek has created a superb piece of psychedelic hip-hop, perfect for a backseat road trip with high-end headphones.
